Can you believe William is 6 months old today? His newborn days are such a blur now. I remember those days being hard, but it seems so far away. Now our boy is rolling over multiple times (only to his left side though. He's always favored that side first.) and growing so fast. He's actually getting a little more used to being on his stomach. And he is so interactive now, reaching for anything he can get his hands on and then putting it in his mouth, if at all possible. =) He likes to rub his toys against his gums. And he loves scratching surfaces with his hand to make sounds and to see what it feels like. It's especially cute when he does this in his crib. His bumper has lots of different textures. He's also becoming more of a thumb-sucker. He likes to pull his sleeve over his thumb and suck on it. I know... weird, but cute. =) He sticks his thumb all the way to one side of his mouth. And since we're on the topic of weird things... William also likes to suck on tags. Whether it's a tag on a toy, blanket, or stuffed animal, he'll find it and suck on it. Forget about the toy! And just over the last few days, it seems that he has taken to flapping his arms a lot, especially when he's excited. Our boy is getting stronger and heavier!
He is now nursing only once a day, in the mornings, and growing to love his solid foods. He'll pretty much eat anything. I'm so thankful he's not a picky eater. Otherwise, his momma would have to do something about that. =) He's been working through the baby veges and will probably start on fruits next week. With all the solids he's been eating, it's been causing him to be a bit constipated lately (his poo is really pasty and thick, like play-doh), so we're beginning to try to get him exposed to water. That will probably help his little system become more regular than with just formula. Hopefully, that will work.
Both his grandmas talk about what a good baby he is. And Bill and I would have to agree. He's pretty much all smiles the majority of the time. We love him so much and are so grateful to God for him! He is such a joy! Look how big he's getting! =)
