Over the past couple of weeks, we have noticed William's verbal development beginning to take shape and expand. He whines a lot since he still doesn't know a lot of words, but when we ask him to use words, he attempts to say what we tell him. Sometimes, he says something totally random that sounds nothing like what we said, but that always gives us a good laugh. It is incredibly exciting to see him begin communicating with us and to see how much he is comprehending. Of course, he can comprehend much more than he can verbally communicate, but it is adorable hearing his little voice begin to use words. The animal sounds are the cutest. Here are some of the words he can say:
plane = pla
car = ka
dog = rao rao (high-pitched, making barking sounds)
cat = mao (high-pitched, making meow-ing sounds)
bye = ba
hi = hi
dada = da
please = pa pa (only whispers this for some reason)
done = done (often very emphatically)
monkey = oo oo oo
amen = men
gone = gone
bird = bir
boom = boom
