a special day...

Behold, children are a heritage from the Lord,

the fruit of the womb a reward.

A great milestone marked this special day as we were able to dedicate Josiah to the Lord. (Unfortunately, we don't have any pics of it since my camera is broken and Bill's was acting all goofy.) Our pastor gave a fresh reminder that we are to parent demonstrating the gospel, not in self-righteousness or for selfish/manipulative gain, but for the ultimate goal of the salvation of our children. Parenthood is a high calling from the Lord for which we will one day give an account. Wow... These are such sobering truths that I needed to be reminded of.

We also wanted to thank our family and friends who were able to come out for their faithful support, commitment, and love for us... especially for also seeing this day as being important in standing with us to help Bill and I parent Josiah to see his need for a Savior. We will need all the help we can get to parent Josiah in grace and truth. =) May the Lord grant much strength, gentleness, compassion, and wisdom (especially for me!) as we seek to demonstrate the gospel to both our boys... the precious gifts from God that they are.
